DSI report on Abhisit, Suthep to NACC

The Department of Special Investigation has sent its investigation report on alleged interference by former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva and his former deputy Suthep Thaugsuban in the Royal Thai Police Office project to build 396 police stations to the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) for further proceedings, DSI chief Tarit Pengdith said on Tuesday.

Mr Tarit said Thanin Prempree, director of the DSI's corruption protection and suppression centre, submitted the report to the NACC today.

The DSI did this because it does not have the jurisdiction to handle a case against holders of political positions.

"Mr Tarit said DSI investigators believed former police chief Pol Gen Pateep Tanprasert, who proposed the change of the bidding method, had probably acted under instructions from the political sector. Therefore, the DSI did not propose action against him, Mr Tarit said".
That "political sector" would be PTP/Thaksin who literally owns the Police,so no surprise that Tarit and DSI will not propose action against them,as they own him too.
IMO the DSI should be disbanded and Tarit prosecuted for aiding/abetting a convicted criminal fugitive and for abuse of power ASAP.

I think we will now see Tarit told to find more and more cases against Aphisit and Suthep. If he fails to pin anything on them, he'll lose his job for sure. This is his job description. After he loses his job, nobody will want him as he has shown weather vane tendencies and that he cannot be trusted.

It’s good to see that the DSI is working hard to find who did something wrong and that they make sure the criminals are punished. As far as I know this case against Abhisit and Suthep came up a couple of weeks ago and is moving quickly. How about the cases which the DSI started years ago? And progress?
I am especially interested in on who planned, organized and financed the violent protests in Bangkok in 2010. What are the results of the DSI investigation regarding this important case? How many people are actively involved in solving these crimes and how many look into the building contracts of police stations? Double standards?

This would not be accepted in any country with an honest investigation unit. The police general committed the act, but he is not charged. Instead, Inspector Clouseau decides to seek charges two politicians because the police general PROBABLY acted under instructions from "the political sector." In other words, you have no evidence.
