Jakarta foils anti-Myanmar plot

JAKARTA — Hours after Indonesia announced it had foiled an alleged plot to bomb the Myanmar Embassy in Jakarta, hundreds of hard-line Muslims called for jihad to fight against persecution of their Islamic brothers.

Two suspected militants were arrested on Thursday night, and five homemade bombs were seized from a backpack they were carrying after authorities were tipped to their whereabouts, said National Police spokesman Brig Gen Boy Rafli Amar.
