The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has temporarily suspended services between Bangkok and Korat, on the northeastern line, because of flooding of the track between Klang Dong and Pang Asoke stations in Pak Chong district of Nakhon Ratchasima province.
SRT governor Prapat Chongsanguan said heavy rain in the district had left the track under at least 12cm of flood water. The service between the two stations had been halted until the water level falls to a safe level.
Some roads in Pak Chong district were also under water and more than 1,000 rai of farmland flooded.
