The ‘Visit Japan F.I.T Travel Fair 2013’ will be on at CentralPlaza Rama IX from Thursday to Sunday.
Now that Thai tourists are allowed visa-free access to Japan for short stays, plenty of people will be wondering what it's like to explore the Land of the Rising Sun this summer.
To help out, the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO) is holding the "Visit Japan F.I.T Travel Fair 2013" to give potential visitors the low down before they take off.
Running from Thursday until Sunday at CentralPlaza Rama IX, the four-day event will feature products and services from Japanese tour agencies, hotels and railway companies. Also available are Japan Rail Passes which can be used for unlimited travel on transportation provided by the JR Group. Besides receiving travel advice from JNTO staff, visitors can get more specific details from representatives of local tourism offices.
Actors Sunny Suwanmethanon and Ray McDonald will show up to share their travel experiences in Japan on Thursday and Friday, respectively, from 6pm. The weekend promises mini concerts by Thai stars Noona-Nuengthida on Saturday at 11am and Namcha-Chiranat on Sunday at 3.30pm. Each will give a light talk afterwards.
Other highlights on the weekend will be samurai shows at 12.30pm, 2pm and 4pm, followed by giveaways of sushi to the audience. A fashion show by flight attendants from Japan Airlines will be held at 3pm on both days.
