THAI offers air staff jobs

Thai Airways International (THAI) will hire almost 250 new flight attendants beginning this month.

The recruitment plan was endorsed by THAI's board yesterday, according to THAI chairman Ampon Kittiampon.

He said the board has approved the recruitment of 247 air hostesses and stewards to serve the company's fleet expansion.

Re Comet, Of course high grades will open doors. It's not my prejudice, ask around! Ask your friend about her fellow workers, and is she on short haul or long? and how long does she think she will have to wait to move up the 'ladder'? I know how it works, I worked for an International European airline, and Thai works the same as BA, turn over in short haul is very very high, work it out for yourself! Long haul is the cream! and status is very important with certain airlines.

Re:Phetpeter D 1. FYI one of my friends works for Thai Airways. She does not have any connection with any so called Hi-so family. She applied directly (after completing some sort of training for being flight attendant with high score of TOEIC) and passed all the tests one by one. What I am trying to say is that If you have qualification you don't need to have any connection. you need to come out of your prejudice!

I feel sorry for all the students who paid to do airline courses in college and uni who will not get a look in because they aren't Hi-so with family connections. Let Thai prove they will give a fair transparent chance to all who apply no matter who 'Daddy' is or isn't friends with!
