Don Mueang predicts leap in volume

Don Mueang airport expects a quantum leap in passenger traffic and aircraft movements in the fiscal year ending Sept 30 now that the 99-year-old airfield has been reactivated as a fully functional facility.

Passenger throughput is now projected at 16.9 million in the current October-September period, up by 523% from the previous fiscal year, with take-offs and landings soaring 311% to 153,000.

General manager Paranee Vatanotai said the airport reached the halfway point of its goal in just the first five months to Feb 28, recording 6.13 million passengers and 54,694 take-offs and landings.

what happened to all the passenger forecasts for Suvharnabumi? Don't they use that in planning their load and manpower? Please use that as a lesson learned and apply it to DM! A little forecasting and planning would be nice. And yes...no more corruption!

Take Don Mueang airport away from military and privatize it.
    Enough corruption and inefficiency.
