Thai AirAsia (TAA), Thailand's largest low-cost carrier, is adding Phitsanulok to its expanding domestic network, which now covers 13 cities including Bangkok.
Bangkok-Phitsanulok will be the second domestic route to be launched this year by the airline, following the recently announced Bangkok-Khon Kaen pairing as TAA moves to capture markets previously seen as offering limited traffic opportunities.
TAA sees Phitsanulok as a more promising market, offering two daily flights right from the start rather than the daily frequency usually offered when it inaugurates a new route. Service to Phitsanulok will take 55 minutes and commence on Nov 30, about a month after the Oct 28 launch of the Bangkok-Khon Kaen route, also with double dailies.
