Companies seeking out talented students

Major companies have developed training and internship programmes to ensure a flow of skilled people into their ranks even before they have graduated from university, according to a human resource firm.
"There has been an increasing number of applicants for all career paths in 2012. However the career choice has not met what the applicants want," said Tidarat Kanchanawat, regional director for Thailand and Vietnam at the Adecco Group, a Swiss multinational human resources consultancy.
She believed that competition in employee recruitment will be higher in 2013, with many big companies targeting fresh graduates as their prospective workers.
