PTTEP seeks extended pay period for $500m debt

PTT Exploration and Production Plc (PTTEP), Thailand's sole oil and gas explorer, plans to negotiate with banks to reschedule the payment of some of its US$3.7 billion in debt.

Penchan Charikasem, the chief financial officer, said of total liabilities, $1.4 billion is due to be repaid in 2015.

As a result, the subsidiary of energy giant PTT Plc wants to extend the repayment schedule for some $500 million.
