The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) plans to issue a specific regulation for TV home shopping channels next year.
The channels are considered regular non-frequency broadcasters that distribute information and entertainment content to the public.
Col Natee Sukonrat, chairman of the the NBTC's broadcasting committee, said the current regulation is unclear about the proper advertising time for such channels, whose main objective is to advertise and sell products.
