I've just received Tour Guide license and I would like to know about Thais Tourist Guide in your attitude. Especially from Farang living in Thailand. Thank for your comment.

When will thai people stop using the word "farang" in replacement for the word "visitor", I continue to point out that this word is not only racist but also very intolerable, if this is not stopped the divide between thai and western will stay in tact.

Why not just say tourists, exactly as in the job description, I am sure there are Thais who need guides to beauty spots and Wats just as much as foreign tourists.
A licensed guide is I assume licenced by TAT, this is not an organisation with a good track record, I hope their licensing regulations are of a better standard.

Bangkok can be overwhelming, especially to someone not used to a large city. And there is a lot to see in Bangkok, nearby Bangkok and Thailand in general. I have been to Thailand twice and I will visit again. A good tour guide is welcome. There are many tours offered so think about what would make you special. You can recommend or give tours outside the city such as the Tiger Temple (a bit far), the Thai Cultural Center, Ancient City and Ayutthaya Historical Park. Every tuk tuk and cab driver wants to take a tourist shopping. For a flat fee you could offer to help tourists get Thai prices on items.

Good luck to you.
