The riverside Millennium Hilton on Charoen Nakhon Road, Thon Buri, has invited chef Peter de Clercq to delight Bangkok food enthusiasts with his famous epicurean barbecue delights at Prime steak and grill restaurants from Nov 24-28.
Belgian chef Peter has published a bestselling book on the art of grilling and was the world champion barbecue expert in 2003. During the five-day promotion, chef Peter will present his signature dishes, with six new dishes available nightly. He will also create a pair of enticing set menus _ 2,900 baht for five courses and 4,500 baht for seven courses _ to be paired with fine wines.
Examples of his signature dishes include cannelloni of smoked salmon, filled with Japanese sea scallop tartare, beetroot and apple salsa; grilled Alaskan crab leg salad with secret vinaigrette; grilled fillets of Dover sole, speculaas biscuit, goat cheese and Belgian chicory; grilled USDA prime striploin with Belgian beer smoking chips; grilled lamb chops marinated in 'Piment d'Espelette' with carrot and ginger cream and lamb jus, and more.
The promotion will kick off with a cocktail party on Nov 24 in Prime's Champagne Lounge at 6:30pm. Guests can mingle with the man behind the magic and sample a creative cocktail menu, with chef Peter's dishes prepared lovingly in miniature.
For those with a hands-on approach to fine dining, a grilling masterclass will be held on Sat, Nov 27, with participants joining chef Peter for a four-course lunch of his favourite dishes after they have learned the tricks of the trade.
On Sun, Nov 28, chef Peter will be at Flow to serve up his brunch specialities and will dine with guests at the chef's table.
