In a forthcoming exhibition of oil paintings called "I Wonder, A Wonderland", Prang Vejjajiva, daughter of former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, shares her dreams, aspirations and experiences she's had while travelling abroad.
This is the very first solo show by Prang, who holds a degree in fine art from Chulalongkorn University. She uses surreal and fantasy imagery to express her love of peace and freedom from burdens and bonds, representing herself in each of the canvases as a cute, chubby cat - an indication, perhaps, that she values characteristics often associated with felines such as independence and a solitary nature.
The exhibition opens on Thursday at Koi Art Gallery, Sukhumvit Soi 31 (Soi Sawaddee) and will be on display for the rest of the month. The gallery is open daily from 11am to 7pm.
