The American rocker, who has worked with Frank Zappa, Whitesnake, Alice Cooper and David Lee Roth among others in a three-decade-plus career, hits the stage for "Steve Vai Live in Concert" at CentralWorld Live convention hall, 8th floor of CentralWorld on Aug 6 at 9pm.
The three-time Grammy winner will perform the all-time favourite For The Love Of God and many other hits from his albums.
Vai is one of the world's greatest rock guitarists, considered on par with the likes of Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani and Yngwie Malmsteen.
Well known for his skills with a whammy bar and unique phrasing, the 53-year-old guitarist, songwriter and producer has eight solo albums to his credit _ Flex-Able (1984), Passion And Warfare (1990), Sex & Religion (1993), Fire Garden (1996), Flex-Able Leftovers (1998), The Ultra Zone (1999), Real Illusions: Reflections (2005) and The Story Of Light (2012). The 2009 live album Where The Wild Things Are featured rearranged hits and new material.
He has appeared as a guest musician on 44 other albums and has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.
