Tune in to join the battle of the bands

Coca-Cola is bringing back its legendary band contest "Coke Music Awards" to turn brave music lovers into the real deal.
This year, online and social networking platforms have been embedded in the design of the contest, which enables music fans around the country to easily become part of the competition.
The contest has expert musicians on the panel of judges and as team leaders of a music workshop to train aspiring artists of the future and help them gain invaluable experience.
Applications can be made at www.iCoke.co.th by Aug 4 or during the audition which will take place at The Mall Nakhon Ratchasima and Diana department store in Songkhla on July 27-28, and CentralPlaza Chon Buri and The Mall Bang Kapi in Bangkok on Aug 3-4. Auditions will run from noon to 7pm.
Only 15 bands will be shortlisted by the panel of judges, which includes Notapol Srichomkwan aka Gor-Groove Riders, Montien Kaewkamnerd aka Tong-Pop, Tortrakul Bai-ngern aka Tof-Silly Fools, Jakkawal Saothongyuttitum aka Neung-Jakkawal, and Samkwan "Moy" Tunsompong.
The 15 successful bands will join a music workshop where they will learn theory and get some tips and techniques from famous bands 25 Hours, Lipta and Mild. They will also get to perform on stage and only nine bands will be selected to join the final round scheduled for Sept 21.
The winning team will receive a cash prize worth 1 million baht, plus a chance to sign up as Coke brand ambassador and collaborate with Coke music ambassador Potato.
