Forget about arguing about what constitutes "Thainess" - Siam Center is about to unveil "Siamism" on Friday, with Muay Thai taking pride of place.
Adding to the ever-growing list of isms - capitalism, commercialism and dare we say materialism among them - the shopping mall is holding the "Siam Center Idea Avenue: Absolute Siam" exhibition, where art aficionados are promised inspiration.
The feel of "Siamism" is being defined as the unique experiences available at the shopping centre, where products and services are tailor-made to combine art, fashion, technology and lifestyle.
The boxing spirit will also be on show, as a collaboration between Muay Thai and fashion will be highlighted. The Boxing Collection features outfits from three Thai fashion brands on show in spaces throughout the centre, including the "Boxing Fashion Stadium" at the Atrium Zone.
The items include sweat pants inspired by the film Rocky from Playhound by Greyhound, funky undershirts from Good Mixer and screened T-shirts inspired by the Lumpini Boxing Ring from Tube Gallery.
The exhibition will open on Friday at 5.30pm, followed by a fashion show by leading brands starting at 7pm. The exhibition ends on Sept 10.
