Stamp collectors are looking forward to their biggest event of the year - "Thailand 2013, World Stamp Exhibition". Hosted by Thailand Post Co Ltd, the event will be held from Friday until Aug 14 at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon shopping centre.
The exhibition is organised under the patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The Princess has graciously allowed the showcase to exclusively exhibit her personal collections under one main theme "Art and Happiness", including stamp collections concerning art heritage among different and colourful branches of the arts.
"The remarkable highlights are 'Royal Arts Gallery' presenting His Majesty the King, Her Majesty the Queen and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's talents on arts and cultures," said Anusra Chittmittrapap, president of Thailand Post and chairman of the 2013 organising committee.
"The showcase features three series of commemorative stamps including folk Thai arts, traditional Thai arts and contemporary Thai arts, as well as all masterpieces from the winners of Thai crafts competition for the year 2013-14."
Workshops and other shows are also available during the 13-day event.
