Chamni Thipmanee, one of Thailand's most renowned photographers, will exhibit his newest series "Silent Monsoon - Echoes from the Southern Wind", curated by SEA Write Award winner Chiranan Pitpreecha.
The veteran lensman has chosen to reveal the magical realism of his home region in black and white photography. The simplicity of a tough life in mystical landscapes conjures up a powerful sense of belonging.
The strong eye contact of the people in many pictures may quietly challenge everyone to plunge into the rough terrain of rural lifescapes in this photo exhibition.
Silent Monsoon—Echoes from the Southern Wind will be at Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel until Sept 30. The opening party is tomorrow at 5.30pm. Call 02-610-2380.
