Catch Anberlin at the Rock Pub on Aug 28.
US alternative rock band Anberlin is making a return visit to the Kingdom for an evening gig at the Rock Pub on Phaya Thai Road that promises lots of soaring vocals and other high moments.
Dubbed "Anberlin Live in Bangkok 2013", the concert is scheduled for Aug 28 with a 7.30pm start.
Founded in 2002, the quintet comprises Stephen Christian (vocals), Christian McAlhaney (guitar), Joseph Milligan (guitar), Deon Rexroat (bass) and Nathan Young (drums).
Their debut album was Blueprints For The Black Market. In 2005, their second album, Never Take Friendship Personal was released, selling more than 150,000 copies. The band continued its rise to prominence while giving in excess of 200 performances per year.
In 2007, they released Cities and it became their first album to get into the Billboard 200's top 20, selling 34,000 copies in its debut week. The following year saw the release of their fourth album, New Surrender, which peaked at No.13 on the Billboard 200, with the first single cut from it, Feel Good Drag, reaching No.1 on the Alternative Songs chart.
Before the release of their fifth studio album, Dark Is the Way, Light Is a Place, the group had sold more than 700,000 albums.
Last year, a sixth collection, the energetic Vital, was released containing the single Self-Starter.
Another stand-out on that album, Orpheum, best reveals Anberlin's collaborative spirit. The album peaked at No.16 on the Billboard 200.
Tickets for the concert cost 1,200 baht and are available at the Rock Pub (BTS Ratchathewi Exit 2) and AMP Clothing, Terminal 21.
