Marina full of Mercy

International piano star Marina Baranova will give a charity concert at St Joseph Convent School’s Trinity Hall on Sept 21 from 3.30pm to 6pm.
Acclaimed pianist Marina Baranova will perform music to move, soothe, and uplift your spirits _ all in the name of Mercy, at St Joseph Convent School on Sept 21.
The "Classical Mercy Music Concert" will feature masterpieces by Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Albeniz and Liszt.
Baranova is renowned for dazzling finger work, geometry of phrasing, and mesmerising transfigurations of emotions.
The Ukraine-born pianist began to play by ear and improvise on the piano at the tender age of three and entered a school for gifted children at the age of five. She later entered European competitions.
She studied at the University of Music, Drama and Media Hanover, Germany.
She received awards at international competitions and has the postgraduate performance qualification for a soloist _ the highest qualification in Europe.
Today she performs as a soloist and with chamber orchestras.
The Bangkok concert will raise funds for the Human Development Foundation's Mercy Centre, whose mission is to help protect, educate, and nurture the city's poorest and most vulnerable children.
HRH Princess Srirasm, who is the royal patron of the foundation, will preside over the performance.
The concert will start at 3.30pm in the Trinity Hall of St Joseph Convent School.
It is located on Convent Road, Bang Rak.
