The adage "one man's junk is another man's treasure" has proven true year after year at the Clutter Sale.
And the wait for the return of the annual event, where you can shop till you drop, is almost over.
Hailed as Thailand's most prestigious flea market, the "Clutter Sale for Charity" will be held at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok on Oct 6 from 10am to 5pm.
Organised for the eighth year by the NewsMakers, a group of senior editors, communications professionals and celebrities, the event has grown from 30 booths in 2006 to 70, showcasing everything from affordably priced used designer bags, vintage clothes and fashion accessories to home decor, toys and sports equipment.
The eighth Clutter Sale for Charity offers luxury items at affordable prices at Four Seasons Hotel on Oct 6.
All of the above items have been donated by local celebs, expats and the public as well as members of the diplomatic community.
Businesses have also donated their surplus stock and overruns while fashion houses are selling catwalk outfits that have barely been worn.
This year will also feature the participation of the Bangkok Fashion Society.
Shoppers can join a lucky draw for a chance to win two tickets, courtesy of Turkish Airlines, to any of the airline's European destinations.
Proceeds will benefit Chulalongkorn Hospital's Hematological Cancer Research Centre under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross.
Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok is on Ratchadamri Road. Call the hotel's public relations department on 02-126-8866.
