Paradise Park shopping centre on Srinakarin Road is celebrating its third anniversary by giving customers rewards of up to 3 million baht.
To mark three years in operation, the entire property has been decorated in an underwater-world theme. One of the highlights of the celebration, according to Paradise Park vice-president Chadatip Chutrakul, will be a performance by a troupe of acrobats from the US called the Flying Mermaids.
Decked out like mermaids, the acrobats will put on a show this evening to coincide with the opening ceremony for the anniversary bash; the venue is the first floor of the mall.
There will also be a fashion show entitled "Pearl, Princess of the Sea". Chadatip predicted that visitors will be amazed by the types of rare pearls on display. All from the Japanese Mikimoto brand, the selection will include white pearls, golden South Sea and black South Sea pearls which will be modelled by leading local actresses Praiya "Poo" Suandokmai, Warataya "Jui" Nilkuha and Davika "Mai" Horne.
Paradise Park will also host several mini concerts this Friday, Saturday and Sunday featuring local artists such as Padcha Ayuwat and the Sincharoen Brothers.
Another attraction during this four-day event promises to be the "Amazing Underworld" exhibition for which a total of 16 water tanks are being stocked with beautiful marine creatures such as lobsters and blue-spotted stingrays.
Also on offer will be a selection of seafood cooked by chefs from various restaurants based in the mall plus workshops on such subjects as batik painting, cooking and foot spas.
Those who purchase goods worth at least 1,000 baht between today and Nov 3 will receive a ticket for a raffle and be in with a chance of winning an Isuzu MU-7 and various accommodation packages.
