New menus on the Bangkok scene
Dish made with kurobuta pork.
At this Japanese outlet at Bangkok's Four Seasons Hotel, chef Sawada is offering a new a la carte menu until July 18 comprising dishes based on kurobuta, a highly prized pork from black pigs raised in Japan's Kagoshima prefecture.
Special treats featuring this juicy, sweet and delicately textured meat include kurobuta chashu (pork-belly ham with soya/ginger sauce, onions and mustard; 460 baht), kurobuta yuanyaki (pan-grilled, soya-marinated pork chop with lemon-butter sauce; 890 baht), kurotonjuru (pork belly and vegetables in blended miso soup; 420 baht) and kurobuta cheese cutlet - which is pork tenderloin stuffed with Gruyere (750 baht).
Shintaro is on the ground floor of the hotel which is located on Ratchadamri Road. Call 02-126-8866 ext 1239.
