Pictures by one of the most important German photographers of our time will be presented as part of a retrospective at the Arts and Cultural Gallery of Khon Kaen University throughout August.
Presented by Goethe-Institute, the "Sibylle Bergemann: Photographien" exhibition features fashion, reportage, essays, landscape and portraits by Sibylle Bergemann, a Berlin-born artist whose works always reflect the theme "something is not consistent".
Bergemann's interested in "the edge of the world" and the "non-exchangeable". Her photos become symbols that tell their stories in subtle nuances. Her works play with the desire of the viewer as they interpret correlations of reality and take a stand.
