Sleep Time - a very smart health application - is a monitor that keeps track of your nighttime habits. Before hitting the sack, what you need to do is place your iPhone face down on the mattress where it will not fall off the bed or bother you. You may want to turn the ringer off so as to avoid being disturbed by incoming calls or messages.
The application uses the iPhone's accelerometer to sense your movement while you are in bed to detect the three phases in which you sleep - awake, light sleep and deep sleep.
Many times your normal bedside alarm clock wakes you up while you are still in the middle of the deep sleep phase and you will feel tired as a result.
