Experiencing the theatrical version of Laddaland, adapted by Scenario from a 2011 box-office horror hit of the same name, is like going to a haunted house. You are challenged with oft-repeated paranormal scenes, spooky sights and eerie sound effects for 150 minutes. At times, you may scream at the top of your lungs _ even though you know in your heart the whole thing is a make-believe, ghostly ploy.

The creative team has shown guts in taking up a screen-to-stage challenge. And the audience gets what it paid for _ to be fearful and, perhaps, tearful _ just like when the movie did its magic a few years ago.
