Purse snatcher snatched, after 9 years

UDON THANI - After nine years of hunting, police on Thursday finally arrested a female purse snatcher who is believed to have stolen from more than 100 victims.

Amorn Wathunti was captured while taking crystal methamphetamine at a house in Muang district of Udon Thani. Police found more than 100 stolen purses, shoulder bags, handbags, ID cards, ATM cards and driver's licences on the premises.

Pol Col Kowit Chareonwattanasak, chief of the Muang district police station, said Miss Amorn had been wanted on an arrest warrant on charges of theft since 2004, but police could not find her because she continually moved around.

So, if she had been arrested for driving without a license, they would have caught her years ago.

'I always paid the fine immediately'

AND I am sure the policemen took the money back to the station and wrote out an official receipt as they always do.

Ya gotta love the Thai Cops!!
