An Indonesian woman drowned her nine-year-old son in the bath, claiming she was worried that his "small penis" would affect his prospects for the future, a police spokesman said Thursday.

The 38-year-old woman from the capital Jakarta told police her son had a small penis prior to being circumcised, but that it appeared to shrink further after the operation, police spokesman Rikwanto, who goes by one name, told AFP.

It appears, and one hopes, that this woman is obviously, completely deranged. Let's hope she stays that way so as not to come to the realization of what she has done. It is one thing for a person to work their way to hell, it's another...to wake up there.

The mother sees fit to genitally mutilate her own child in the name of a religious doctrine then sees no problem killing the child due to his sexual prowess being affected. Children need firm loving role models. Education and guidance. Security and Love. Sick aberrations are the direct result of the lack of these things in a developing child coupled with fanaticism and horror of horrors mutilation is a recipe for disaster and the production of a very confused damaged adult.
