Turnabout is foreplay

: Ladies take lead in shifting adult market. From seeking out gigolos and six-pack parties to sex toys and host lounges geared for women, the gentler sex have become bolder in getting a piece of the action in a city infamous for its male-oriented sex industry

A young Thai woman far outside her comfort zone wanders the red-neon-bathed back alleys of Mong Kok in Hong Kong, trepidatiously trying to look through the darkened windows of sex shops and following the signs up rickety stairs, on the hunt for a very specific souvenir.

A posh new Bangkok club offers a "six-pack party", with minimally clad male models showing off ripped abdominals. What had been expected to draw a trendy mixed crowd became, as an organiser described it, a mob of aggressively amorous females and a testy security situation.

Off of Surawong Road, a female Japanese expat goes to watch boy-a-gogo shows where well endowed young men from northeastern provinces perform hard-core acrobatic sex acts. Afterward she calls one of them over and, for an agreed upon 2,000 baht, takes him home.

I think disc. 1 is unrealistic and harsh. It is estimated that 60 % of all web site "hits" are to those involving sex and, of course the sale of same, again estimated is second only to internet gambling, raising billions annually which, of course is spent. Some philosopher once said
"Everything is about either sex or money or a combination of both " and I for one, believe it to be true. Women who want appliances, devilish lingerie or, indeed men, for any reason of their own, should not be considered criminals.

SPICEMAN (I will no longer address directly) has MIS-quoted me by leaving out the essential part preceding the quote.

I wrote "Sexual folly is...an expression of the upper class and middle class..."

I did not not say sexual activity.

Beside that, it is ludicrous to suggest the working class and farmers have more children because they are sexually more promiscuous. Lack of education about, and access to birth control are 2 important factors. Then also the fact traditionally, an agricultural society's families are largely dependent on their offspring for economic survival. Instead of state pensions or money in the bank.

Khun abbub #16, if "the working class are too busy expending energy on working to make ends meet," how do you explain why E-Saan is the most populous part of Thailand? Have you heard of "Sex-the poor man's polo," by Clifford Odets?

I see the sex doll leaning against the table. Will a re-enactment be done on TV?

Lobby for full freedom of speech, and not freedom of lunacy about personal sexuality unable to to grow up.

Sexual folly is also an expression of the upper class and middle class, as the working class are too busy expending energy on working to make ends meet.

I am actually a believer sexual freedom and social liberties go hand in hand. But sexual freedom has become a sort of right to remain a child all one's life. At some point people should stop believing the ultimate goal in life is self gratification.

I don't think their toys, their more PPSE.....(private personal satisfaction equipment). Certainly makes you wonder how a personal item could be banned, when you only have to walk around the corner in some 'well known areas' to see certain entertainment flaunted for all? Authorities should worry more about child sex abuse, rape of women and bring those to justice, and let my wife and I enjoy our PPSE's..

Why are sex toys illegal in Thailand, the sex capital of the world ?

    Cool.
If consenting adults want to enter into a mutually agreed contract, say customer + lawyer, cusomter + doctor, customer + sex worker or whatever, why would that be anyone else's business? These are all free and mutually rewarding exchanges of one person's skills for another's money. And that's not wrong - it's fair, sensible and moral.

Hoo, this article so long, even more long than article about Yingluck and constitution. I am think it not worth to be news, and not interesting, and exagerate about Thai people in the sex industy. Is silly.
