Now where have I seen these before.I know In London where they have dedicated cycle tracks and obey the law of the road.Good idea but flawed I feel.

Whilst stuck as usual in Bangkok's traffic, I have sometimes wondered if pedal samlors wouldn't be a faster way to get around. They could move through the traffic easily enough.

Hope the hospitals have enough space in A&E!

a similar thing was tried a few years ago and fizzled out after most of them were stolen.

the idea is fine but are there any bicycle designated routes available for the cyclist - similar to ones in US and Europe?
the rental fee seems high, is this due to the insurance coverage if a cyclist gets injured or worse? I would think that
if Pedestrians have no respect here, neither would the cyclist.

robertt, you are spot on. With the lack of dedicated bicycle lanes and the very steep price - this project is bound to fail - as so much else in Thailand.
    AMAZING KWAILAND!

Bangkok Drivers don't obey traffic lights, or even give way at Predestrian Crossings, so how do you think that riding a bike is going to go? You can't even walk on the footpaths without being hearded out of the way by Motorbike Taxis taking short cuts.

This could have been a very good project if not for the fact there are no dedicated bicycle lanes, walking in Bangkok has its dangers, I don't know how many people are willing to put up 320฿
for this, but judging from the number of bicyclist I see daily it wont be many.
Lets hope this does not go the same way as renting a jet ski.
