Oct export growth 'not significant'

The substantial growth in exports reported in October year-on-year was due to the low volume of exports in October in 2011, commercial banks said on Tuesday.

Srirat Rastapana, director-general of the International Trade Promotion Department, reported on Monday that  exports were up as much as 15.6% in October on the same month last year.

Ms Srirat said the recovery of the industrial sector after the floods, signs of recovery in the US economy and growing shipments to new markets helped lift exports.

    .

    2 over 1 = + 100 % Right ?

    2.0 million over 1.0 million = 100 % also, right ?

So when the presentation is done on the percentage basis, this is the correct report, right ?

Come on guys, give 'em a break, at least until the grilling is done.
