South forces hunt for stolen vehicles

Security forces in the deep South have been warned to look for six stolen vehicles that may be used in bomb attacks by the Muslim insurgency, especially during the New Year holiday.

Of the six vehicles, three are registered in Songkhla province, two in Yala and the sixth in Pattani, according to a southern security intelligence agency.

The Songkhla-registered vehicles include a grey Honda Civic (Kor Por 6548), a bronze Toyota Vigo (Bor Wor 1156) and an Isuzu two-seat pickup truck with extended roof at the back (Por Kor 4883).

Nothing is what it seems in the land of smiles, who knows why they crashed, maybe some General wanted new equipment or sabotage but it was very strange it all happened at once. Thailand has one of the oldest Air forces in Asia & sent pilots for training to France over 100 years ago in February 1912
(February 2011)October 18, 2010, One F-16A Block 15 crashed on Tak Province. One pilot was killed. This is the first F-16 crash in 22 years on duty.
February 14, 2011, Two F-16ADF mid air collision while formation BVR tactic ACMI at Chaiyaphum Province, two pilots survived.One should not jump to the conclusion that they don't know how to fly

D4 perhaps Amerman was alluding to the crash of four helicopters into the same piece of ground. The cause was possibly due to Cambodian death rays , the same rays that downed two F16's simultaneously in the same area.

@ amerman: according to Mike Kriebel, senior vice president of Aviation
Underwriters Association, the U.S. helicopter accident rate is 30
percent higher than the U.S. general aviation accident rate. So what are you trying to say? That the Thai crash rate is higher. When you take into account the Afghanistan crash rate the US is dismal.

Oh, so it the "Muslim" insurgency now?
Not the "separatist" or "jihadist" insurgency, I guess.
I'm not Muslim, and have zero sympathy for these criminal drug trafficking thugs who commit terrorist acts in the name of their pipe dream of some Caliphate in the South.
But Bangkok Post needs to chose their words way more carefully. ;)

The whole country is full of cars and motorcycles with unauthorized or even faked license plates, so how could the police will be able to find a few stolen cars that most likely had already been repainted and using authentic plates? The right way to do is to enforce the law all over the country first.
