Abhisit's military appointments revoked

Defence Minister ACM Sukumpol Suwanatat on Wednesday signed an order formally revoking former prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's former military appointments for draft dodging.

Under the order, the Defence Ministry's order appointing Mr Abhisit an instructor at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, and another order making him a commissioned officer, are revoked.

A Defence Ministry source said the order had been sent to Mr Abhisit's house for him to acknowledge.

Discussion 46 brilliant : if AV had never used any falsified document to evade military conscription, he should fight on this "frame up" accusation as aledged by you. He should act like a brave man to fight against the defamation instead of hiding behind.

android - are you serious? If someone accuses a person of fake documents, it's up to them to prove it's fake. Hilarious!

Discussion 43 brilliant : If AV could prove that the document is genuine, he would have already proved it months ago instead of kept silent.

dom - do you have some definitive proof that he lied about his conscription? If you do, I suggest you turn it over to the proper authorities.

Can one of the red supporters provide a link definitely showing that the documents were fake? Please? This has been going on for years and no one yet can provide the "proof".

Discussion 41 bkk-farang : using falsified document by AV is beyond doubt a dishonesty rather than an honesty.

@domdunn #40: Thanks for making the point that honesty is an important quality which all our politicians should have.
Now when I think about Thaksin, Chalerm, Nattawut, to name just a few, then I think Abhisit is somewhere in the top of the honesty list of all the MPs.

The issue is not Av's military service it is about his honesty.

@Duke, sorry to disappoint you, I did not prove you point. I never said “Abhisit can do no wrong, Thaksin can do no right”. But look at the scale of it. Is that really so difficult to understand?
Once I spoke with a cleaning lady in our building who was wearing all red to show her political affiliation. I asked her: Don’t you think Thaksin is corrupt? She answered: Abhisit is more corrupt. Then I asked her why Thaksin has so much more money than Abhisit. Her answer was: Not true, Abhisit has more money than Thaksin. After that I gave up with that conversation. Somehow she comes to my mind when I read your comments...

Didn't we read in the Bangkok Post a few days ago that stripping Abhisit from his military rank needs royal endorsment and must be published in the royal gazette? Is that not true anymore?
