Nua Mek producer still in the dark

Prime Minister's Office Minister Varathep Rattanakorn has denied the government had any role in the banning of prime-time political soap opera "Nua Mek 2", while the show's producer said he has still not been told exactly why his show was cancelled.

The House committee on political development, media and public participation, chaired by Ubon Ratchathani MP Supachai Srila, held a hearing on Wednesday over the axing of the final episodes of the popular soap opera.

I tend to agree with D#1. "Whether the show was aired was not his concern." - according to Nimitbut, the soap's director. It seems very odd to me that the people who worked hard to make the show aren't fighting to have it viewed by the public. I hope from this hearing that we're able to learn who's behind this and why - but I'm not holding my breath.

Basically the produers, directors and even the actors need to show more guts and more SELF RESPECT. Thai media loves to inflict wounds on itself just to please people in power. Surayuth on Channel 3 once had a strong presence, he is becoming a morning joke being surrounded by more and more pretty girls in the news room each day. What is the media fraternity as a whole going to do about this high handed approach by Channel 3? Can they all act together, or will they fall one by one. No other options exist.
