18 candidates register to run for Bangkok governor on first day

BANGKOK - A total of 18 people entered their names to run in the March 3 election for the job of Bangkok governor when candidacy registration opened on Monday.

Sixteen candidates registered at the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration before office hours so they could get in the queue early to draw a number for the order in which they will later draw a candidate number for the ballot paper.

Former Bangkok governor Sukhumbhand Paribatra, who will run for reelection under the opposition Democrat Party banner, drew number 16.

So number 9 is lucky number by Thai believe doesn't mean this candidate will get more vote. I would get some advice by going to rub the banyan tree in the junkle and see what number it show and i will vote candidate with that number.

Let form the football team. Bkk has enough members can do good to the city. If they insist that they are the best to be governor(still don't know why use this word instead of Mayor), let them debate inteligently.Thin them out.The way to win election with 18 candidates the winner might get one digit percentage vote and being the winner, It can't be majority vote this way.Anycandidates are rice farmers, exconvicts, exmonks?Loud speakers alone is not tool to convince inteligent peopele to vote.
