Defence Minister Sukumpol Suwanatat on Sunday launched his personal website to publicise information related to security, defence spokesman Thanathip Sawangsaeng said.

Col Thanathip said the website is intended for people to obtain information and follow up various reports such as the situation in the three southern border provinces, developments on the Preah Vihear temple dispute and other security-related issues.

As a channel for public relations, the website also gives ACM Sukumpol's biography and details on his intentions and achievements made during the past year in his capacity as defence minister.

"The opening of the website has nothing to do with politics" Col Thanathip said. and Chalerms Internet War Room will monitor it to make sure !.

Funny thing though, this is coming from the man who banned mobiles in his HQ so no one could leak info.
