Women caught with B90m drugs

Police have arrested two women and seized 294,000 methamphetamine pills and 10kg of crystal methamphetamine worth around 90 million baht in Bangkok.

Pol Lt Gen Wanchai Winai Thongsong, the commander of Provincial Police 6, held a press briefing on Thursday to announce the arrest of Juthamas Kerdsang, 30, and Piyapa Ninkuha, 24, and the seizure of the drug shipment, Daily News newspaper reported.

He said the two suspects were part of a major drug gang in the North which police had been keeping an eye on for quite some time.

Goodness. Great police work (sounds like a photo op to me).

D#1 Heer is probably in Dubai and was having problems with his internet connection at the time. Skype has no guarantees.

Tony, don't knock the little guys too much, they all know that the big bosses are either their bosses or owned by them

"They followed the women and pounced on them when they stopped at a toll plaza on the Don Muang Tollway."

They probably arrested them at the toll booth simply because there are always gangs of police already there extorting foreigners. No need to call for backup.

Instead of wasting tax money and scarce resources on something of absolutely no benefit, and much harm, to many Thai citizens and to Thai society, why not send the police and the funds to the South of THailand where there are some real problems requiring the state's law enforcement.

Or perhaps just instruct them to deal with things like kiddie rape, murder and ... corruption?

    Discussion 1:
No need to ask... everyone with more than 2 years education know why....
Everyone knows the biggest drug dealers, human traffickers and biggest criminal organization in the country....

Exactly, porky, D1....This is because the police likely have no interest in doing real police work and trying to crack the network and collect evidence that could lead to the prosecution of the 'big fish'...instead they just go after the soft targets and cheap publicity...And only yesterday we had a somewhat premature editorial praising the police for their 'classic police work' in arresting kamnan Poh and citing it as proof that the Thai police can be as professional as any force in the world. I see very little evidence of this.

    Discussion 1,
Simple answer..it is because probably Heer is protected.

"The woman said Heer told her ovr the telephone to collect the drugs at the hotel and said he would later inform her where to deliver them. However, police arrested her and Ms Piyapa before he called".
Which beggars the question " Why didn't the police wait for the call and get the delivery address?" and follow through with further arrests?
