All these good and constructive comments will surely fall on deft ears as usual. What a shame!

Has ANYONE EVER seen public safety commercials on TV? Maybe about the importance of seat belts, not speeding, road safety?

D25 "This country continues to be inept, incompetent and to have No regard for Thai citizens"

Yet one one senseless, needless loss of lives.

Would "Hub of incompetence" be too harsh?

Maybe this driver's amulet was a copy, maybe his car hadn't been blessed or these people did something bad in a previous life,so these accidents just can't be helped. Hence,no need for the government or the police to do anything about it.

D25 : LMAO! So you too have noticed what Thais use their side- and rear-mirrors for?

My sincere condolences to the victims families but in case we forgot,TIT! Nothing we say or do will change anything.

This country continues to be inept, incompetent and to have No regard for Thai citizens. They are expendable, because they are not wealthy (if they were they would be speeding in their Mercedes or BMW's), they are poor or lower middle class and must use the mini-vans to get from point A to point B. And then there is the carcinogenic black polluted smoke from trucks, vans & cars that kill slowly everyday...sorry, I digress.

The only thing required to be a licensed driver of a public transport van is to have the name Somchai and carry a worthless Thai driver's license. Thai's don't know the first thing about driving until it comes to the issue of push-and-shove to be first in line at the bottle neck made by push-and-shove. Thai driver's see themselves in their rear view mirror and gleam with great useless pride at being at the front of a traffic jam caused by idiots like themselves. Then when they can not move forward because of the traffic jam they have caused they simply use the rear view mirror to detect and remove facial pimples.

I guess in this case no one gets an apology

My last comment received 7 dislikes. I do wonder who in their right mind does not see the fault with (any) current and previous government. The police is also to blame because laws exist but are not enforced (speeding, drink driving, seat belts, etc). Stricter driver training and testing is a must and who breaks the law gets disqualified. It works in other countries why not Thailand?
