The ruling Pheu Thai and opposition Democrat parties campaigned frenetically for their Bangkok governor candidates on Saturday as voters prepared to deliver their verdict on Sunday.

No.3 Vune, you can't compare Bangkok with Singapore. Over their lies a seamless tie between the private and public sectors. The government in Spore work to achieve the maximum outcome for the people and value for money. There is no difference in quality. In thailand half of taxpayers money end up in the pockets of govt officials.

D2,Khun Dao : Basic common sense? In Thailand??? Surely you can't be serious. The closest thing to common sense in giving Peua Thaksin the BKK victory would be that hopefully the red thugs won't burn down the city again with one of their own elitists in the governors chair. As for the looting,that will probably continue.

I prefer blue like sky than red like fire...
Frankly, doesn't matter if PTP or DEM, but I will never give my ticket to a cop !!!! If POLICE had done his job in spring 2010 Bangkok, we would never had seen Bangkok burning... The choice is very simple/easy.....

I want to vote Central Group to govern Bangkok. That way we will get public facilities and infrastructure that are as well designed and with quality similar to Central shopping malls. We'll get an upgrade of all the footpaths and overhead bridges in the city and I am sure they will beautify and get rid of all the stench on the streets and in the klongs. Apart from the new walkways that link the BTS and shops in the Rajdamri area Bangkok is still an abhorant 3rd class city 40 years behind Singapore and Hongkong as I remember similar conditions that existed there in the 70s. Anyway, good luck Bangkok - just don't put your hopes too high.

This isn't about Pongsipat or Sukhumband .Its about giving Thaksin the keys to the the only thing stopping him for coming back .Don't vote to bring back a criminal .Its just basic common sense .
