Kittiratt urges ethanol for buses

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Kittiratt Na-Ranong wants new passenger buses in Thailand to run on ethanol instead of natural gas, while PTT Plc assures it can supply the fuel as is needed.

Mr Kittiratt made his preference known while accompanying Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on a visit to Sweden to inspect uses of renewable energy.

He said he was interested in passenger buses that use E85 fuel (a mixture of 85% ethanol and 15% petrol).
