The Prime Minister’s Office filed a complaint on Thursday to the Technology Crime Suppression Division to charge a hacker who hacked its website to damage Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
An official lodged the complaint to have the hacker charged with violating the Computer Crime Act, Phisit Pao-in, the division chief said.
Pol Maj Gen Phisit did not disclose the name of the suspect, only saying that the professional hacker was among the five best in the country and was a member of Unlimited Hack Team. The suspect had hacked several government websites, including the Culture Ministry, and Channel 3.
