The Office of the National Water and Flood Management Policy (NWFMP) looks set to exclude the Forestry Department from its reforestation plans under the 350-billion-baht flood prevention scheme, a department source said yesterday.

The source said the NWFMP has indicated it preferred private firms to handle reforestation work in selected areas falling under its remit to rehabilitate watersheds along eight river basins in 17 provinces.
