Former British prime minister Tony Blair and former UN secretary-general and Nobel peace prize laureate Kofi Annan appear set to join a reconciliation forum in Bangkok next month.
Former Democrat leader Bhichai Rattakul welcomes Deputy Prime Minister Phongthep Thepkanchana and PM’s Office Minister Varathep Rattanakorn at his home on Friday. The former Democrat has accepted the government’s invitation to join its political reform assembly aimed at healing political conflict. APICHART JINAKUL
The government is inviting several past and present foreign leaders and various international experts to join the forum, which will discuss ways to heal the political divide in Thailand.
