Details about the plight of the four Thai nationals who were reportedly abducted by a gang of kidnappers in southern Nigeria on Friday are not yet known, says Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul.
He was referring to a report that kidnappers on a boat had attacked four Thais and two Nigerians in the Buguma area while they were on their way to work at a fish farm in the southern state of Rivers.
The report said the kidnappers sped off and later dropped the Nigerians somewhere. One of the Nigerians reportedly drowned. The four Thais were still with the kidnappers, it said.
