GUANGXI, CHINA : China's Fusui district and Thailand's Phitsanulok municipality will become sister cities under a deal signed this week to promote economic, tourism amd education ties.
The agreement was signed on Monday in Guangxi province by Fusui district deputy chief Li Zhihua and Phitsanulok mayor Boonsong Tantanee.
Fusui district is in Guangxi's Chongzuo city, not far from China's border with Vietnam. The city is also next to Guangxi's capital of Nanning, which has been dubbed China's "gateway to Southeast Asia". Chongzuo and Phitsanulok municipality began fostering business relations several years ago.
