The House of Representatives on Saturday morning approved the budgets of the Commerce and Interior ministries as lawmakers continued deliberations on government spending plans for the 2014 fiscal year.
The Commerce Ministry's approved budget totalled 7.78 billion baht, down 116 million baht from the sum proposed initially. It passed by a vote of 292-122 with 14 abstentions. The vote took place at 2.30am.
Eight hours later, MPs approved a budget of 328.75 billion baht for the Interior Ministry, a decrease of 7.86 billion from its proposal. It passed by 284-104, with seven abstentions.
