Immigration police in Mukdahan province on Tuesday arrested a Guinea national who was found to have used one of the 300 visa stickers that recently went "missing" from the Thai Embassy in Kuala Lumpur in a suspected scam.
The 300 visa labels, issued by the Foreign Ministry to the Thai embassy in the Malaysian capital, were cancelled after they were found to have gone missing. The government is in the process of investigating the incident.
Pol Lt Col Wichian Leepairojkul, deputy chief of Mukdahan immigration police, said Sylla Mohamed was arrested in Muang district of Roi-et province after using one of the cancelled stickers and being tracked down by police.
