A Democrat Party executive meeting has agreed on the need to restructure the party to improve operational strategy and respond more effectively to the people's needs, spokesman Chavanont Intarakomalyasut said on Wednesday.
Mr Chavanont said the party's executive committee passed the resolution at today's meeting.
The party's legal committee had been assigned to look into relevant laws and report back within 30 days.
The decision was based on the opinion that the country could soon be in an economic, social and political crisis, which might lead to the dissolution of the House of Representatives, he said.
