Building of the new parliament could be delayed because Yothin Burana School is unlikely to complete the construction of its new premises on time, House affairs committee spokesman Boonyod Sukthinthai said on Thursday.
Mr Boonyod, a Democrat Party MP, said the parliament had authorised payment to Yothin Burana School, in Dusit district, of one billion baht for the move.
The school's grounds are needed for the construction of the new parliament. The school is being relocated to a 16-rai block of nearby land in the same district, adjacent to Wat Soithong.
