The Pheu Thai Party-backed amnesty bill will be deliberated in the House of Representatives on Aug 7, the party said yesterday.
The party expected that deliberation of the bill would be completed in one day.
As the budget bill for the fiscal year 2014 was still being vetted by a House committee, only the government's two trillion baht borrowing bill and the amnesty bill are currently scheduled to be deliberated by the House on Aug 7, said party MP for Samut Prakan Worachai Hema. Mr Worachai proposed the draft amnesty bill.
